Show Custom Fields on Certificates

What is it & why you need it

EzyCourse lets you create your own set of custom fields and then show them to students on the signup page of your website. This helps to take key details and any information from students as they are signing up on your platform.

Now, you can make a very cool use of these details taken from students. You can choose to show the responses they’ve given on custom fields during signup, on their course certificates, completely dynamically. Moreover, you have the luxury of adding any styles as to how it should appear on the certificate.

This will help to make the certificate more valuable to them and give your students more assurance about you and your platform.

How it works

EzyCourse has a feature where you can create custom signup text fields. Any custom fields you create appear on the signup form of your website. So, as students are signing up, they fill these custom fields also.

You can use their responses to the custom fields and show them on any of their course certificates. This happens dynamically mostly. But, you have to add the dynamic variables on the code section of the certificate in order for it to work.

Note that “dynamic variables” here refers to the custom fields.

How to get started using it

To begin, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and navigate to Courses -> Certificates

Click the three dots on an existing certificate and select the Edit option. Or, create a new certificate and you can use custom signup fields there too.

Scroll down to find the Available Custom Fields section. These are the dynamic variables to be used on the code section of the certificate. They simply refer to all the custom signup fields you currently have on your platform.

Copy any dynamic variable and use it with double curly braces on the code section. Ensure you are using the exact variable name as given on the “Available Custom Fields” section.

See the preview to check if it’s working correctly. And don’t forget to save/update to keep the changes.
