Password Strength Settings

What problem it solves or why you need it

With EzyCourse, you can take advantage of a smooth onboarding process where your users find it convenient to sign up on your platform. You can even create your very own custom fields to show students on the signup form and take important details.

Now, you can further improve the signup experience of your users with our Password Strength feature. You can add certain validations that will become necessary for users to meet when they are giving their password on the signup form.

You can reduce the likelihood of typos and mismatches by adding a “confirm password‘ field. Ultimately, this feature will help to enhance the signup experience and ensure users use a strong password to sign up.

How it works

You can set different settings related to the user password when they are signing up on your website. From your EzyCourse dashboard, you can set different options such as showing a “confirm password” field and allowing users to see or hide their password as they are signing up.

You also have the luxury of setting some useful password validations such as min/max characters. Users have to match the validations in order for the password to be accepted.

Apart from the signup page, it will be available on the student dashboard and also the checkout page for unregistered users.

How to get started using it

To find the settings related to password strength, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and go to Site Settings -> Global Settings.

Turn on the toggle button to enable the password strength settings.

Once you enable the toggle button, you can set the different settings that will improve user signup experience. You can choose to give users the option to see or hide their password. And include a “confirm your password” field to ensure they are giving the exact and correct password.

On the signup form, an additional “confirm password” field will be added and users will be able to show/hide their password.

You can also set validation in terms of characters. Simply give the integer values and set the minimum/maximum number of characters necessary for a successful user password.

Users will be able to see the validation text on the signup form.

Other validations you can set include users’ password must contain at least -

• One Upper Case Letter

• One Lower Case Letter

• One Number

• One Special Character

Users will be able to see the validation text on the signup form.

[Note: Remember that every setting related to password strength will work on the student dashboard’s profile section and also the product checkout page for unregistered users.]
