Automate emails when Stripe card payment fails

You can configure your Stripe account to automate the process of sending emails to customers, whose card payment fails on your platform. Whether it's an expired card or anything else, the customer will get notified about the unsuccessful payment and the reasons for failed payments.

Along with notifications, it also gives your customers the opportunity to update their payment method so that it could be retried successfully.

To automate emails for this task, login to your Stripe account and go to the dashboard. And then click Revenue recovery. If you cannot find it then simply search the dashboard.

Once you are on the Revenue recovery page, go to the Emails tab.

From here, toggle on the “Send emails when card payments fail” and then select the “Use custom link” option. Provide the link and save it.

And that’s it! With the setting enabled, your customers will get the email whenever they have an issue with Stripe card payment on your platform.
