Sub-Path in Page URL

What is it & why you need it

The URL sub-path is a feature that will give you more control over categorizing and structuring your website content. You can categorize related content under a common main path, providing a cleaner and fresh URL structure. It will improve and make it easier for your users to navigate the site.

Sub-paths will also enable you to include relevant keywords in the URL, which can improve your search engine indexing and rankings.

Moreover, with EzyCourse's link tracking feature, you can gain more detailed insights into user behavior and navigation patterns by analyzing traffic to specific sub-paths.

How it works

As an admin, you can add sub-paths to any page on your website. You can set the sub-path when creating a new page or editing an existing one. The sub-path will be added to the URL address of the page.

So, the name you give to the page becomes the main path. And now, you can add a sub-path along with the main path on the URL.

Example: https://yourSite.ezycourse.com/main-path/sub-path

How to get started using it

To begin, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and go to Website Builder -> Pages.

You can click the Create page button and then set the sub-path as you are creating the new page.

Notice in the URL preview that the page name will become the main path automatically. And then the sub-path will come.

For an existing page, you can go to Edit.

On the Page info tab, you’ll find the field to add the sub-path.

Typically, you wouldn’t want to change the URL of an existing page by adding the sub-path. Suppose, you have an existing page called video library. Then you could create another new page with the name “video library” and sub-path “free-videos” where you keep free materials for your visitors.
