Advanced PDF Lesson Viewer

What is it and why you need it

EzyCourse offers more than 12+ lesson types to help you deliver engaging and flexible learning experiences to your audience.

With this feature update, the PDF lesson experience has been significantly upgraded. You can now present PDF lessons using a modern, feature-rich viewer that replaces the old version. This new viewer is designed to improve readability, navigation, and overall learning comfort.

Students get access to:

Better zoom controls

Dark mode support

Multiple viewing and scrolling options

Page thumbnails and bookmarks

Embedded Attachment file view & download

Resume-from-last-position functionality

How to get started using it

Follow the usual PDF lesson creation process. To provide the best experience, ensure that your PDF file has bookmarks and attachments included.

[Note: Attachments must be embedded inside the PDF file itself. A normal clickable link won’t work.]

On the students' end, they can now see a completely new PDF lesson viewer. On the left hand side, there is a Search icon that helps them instantly locate specific words or phrases inside the document.

Using the Page Navigation buttons, students can switch pages back and forth.

The Thumbnail panel displays all pages in a visual layout, allowing quick jumps to any section of the PDF.

If the PDF includes bookmarks, they appear in a Bookmark tab so learners can instantly navigate to important sections.

Also, if the PDF file contains embedded attachments such as PDFs, CSV/Excel files, XML/JSON, Images, etc students can open or directly download the attached files.

Moving to the middle top part of the lesson viewer shows Zoom In, Zoom Out, and Page Size settings. Students can zoom out to 10% or zoom in up to 1000%, depending on their reading preference.

On the right hand side, the theme toggle allows students switch between Light and Dark modes for better viewing comfort.

The Full Screen option removes distractions and helps learners focus entirely on the content.

Clicking the More actions opens multiple settings, such as first/last page switcher, page rotations, text selection, hand tool, page/vertical/horizontal/wrapped scrolling, single/dual/dual with cover page view, and show properties option.

The Show Properties option displays detailed information about the PDF file such as file name, size, page count, creator, creation/modification date, etc.

If a student exits the PDF lesson on page 3 with the zoom level on 80%, clockwise rotated, and dark mode enabled. When they return, the PDF opens exactly the same way with the same settings. No need to start over again.
