Repurchase Membership Subscription
What is it and why you need it
Creators, we’ve released a new feature update which eases the struggle of your membership users! Now, your membership users can repurchase their cancelled or expired plans without losing their membership items progress.
You can set permission for your users to repurchase their plan at the original price they subscribed with. Or they can use the latest active membership price. Note that this doesn’t apply to on-time renewals.
This helps them to continue from where they left off without having to start from scratch. The renewal process is also flexible and simple for both you and your membership users.
How to get started using it
First, you have to configure the student membership settings. To do that, go to Products & Services → Membership → Settings tab.


From here, you can decide how to charge your users at the time of reactivating their membership plan, which has either expired or cancelled.
The ‘Use previous subscription price’ option allows charging users the same amount they originally subscribed with. This won’t affect users even if your membership prices have changed.
And the ‘Use current plan price’ allows you to charge your users based on the latest active pricing plan when they reactivate/repurchase.

You can set the repurchase/reactivation charging method by selecting Use previous subscription price or Use current plan price. Remember to click Save Changes to apply the changes you’ve made.

Student End
When a student’s membership subscription gets cancelled or expires for any reason, they can easily reactivate their plan from the dashboard.
Simply, go to the Subscription menu and then click the Membership Subscription tab.

Here, they can see all their active and expired membership subscriptions using the filtering option. Note that Cancelled, Expired, and both Canceled & Expired memberships fall under the Cancelled Category.

To activate cancelled subscriptions, they need to click the View Membership button placed on a expired or cancelled card.

Notice the Reactivate Plan option on top right of the membership card. Clicking it takes them to the checkout page, where they can repurchase their membership plan.

The applied repurchase price depends on the permission you’ve set. Either it will be the latest subscription price or the previous one.
In this case, we’ve selected the ‘Use current plan price ’ option which will show the latest pricing plan.

To see the actual difference, students can navigate to Order History from their dashboard. From here, they can see the previous paid amount and can compare it with the latest reactivation price.

The best part is that after reactivation, they get to resume from the same stage as they were before. No need to start over again.
