How To Migrate Existing Forms

What is it & why you need it

With EzyCourse, you can run your email campaigns and target contacts collected via forms. And now, you have the luxury of using a more advanced email campaign tool.

But, your existing forms need to be migrated first to the new structure so that they become compatible with the advanced email campaign tool. With this migration feature, you can easily convert the already existing forms into the compatible structure.

For old or existing forms, migrating simply means transforming any two existing text fields (required) into First Name and Last Name fields. This is because these two fields are required in order to use the new email campaign tool, for targeting form contacts. Without migrating, you cannot target old form contacts with the new campaign tool.

For any new form you create, the First Name and Last Name will automatically be included along with the email field. No need to migrate new forms.

How to get started using it

To migrate existing forms, navigate to Marketing & Contacts -> Forms & Contacts. Choose a form, click the three dots, and select the View Contacts Response option.

Note that the form you are migrating must have two required text fields. If it lacks two such fields then you have to edit the form and add the fields.

On the response page, click the Migrate Form Responses button.

On the popup, first select the field/column to be migrated and used as First Name.

[Note:  You’ll only see the fields/columns that satisfy the condition of migration. In other words, Text fields that are set as required will appear here.]

And then, select the column for the Last Name.

Click the Update button to complete the migration.

You’ll see the selected columns automatically change into First Name and Last Name. After migration, you can use the new email campaign tool to target the contacts of the form.

In terms of new forms you create, you’ll see the First Name and Last Name fields included in the form and set as required, just like the email field. There is no need for migration.
