Enable/disable Keyboard Shortcuts

What problem it solves or why you need it

From DRM to video watermarks, EzyCourse lets you use several features to safeguard your content. Your content security and protection is always an important part we hope to always fulfill.

On your EzyCourse website, students or your users are generally deterred from using different keyboard shortcuts. This way, you can prevent them from selecting, copying, or even using the right-click option on your website.

While this helps enhance your content security, we understand if you might want to choose whether to have this feature or not. That is why, we’ve now put the power in your hands. It is up to you to enable or disable the shortcut restrictions for your users.

How it works

As an admin, you’ll have the option to disable different keyboard shortcuts and the right-click option. From your EzyCourse dashboard, you can choose to enable or disable the feature.

With the option turned on, your students and any visitors will not be able to use certain keyboard shortcuts on your website. These includes -

→ Ctrl + A

→ Ctrl + C

→ Ctrl + P

→ F12

→ Right click

How to get started using it

To disable the keyboard shortcuts, first log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and navigate to Site Settings -> Global Settings

Scroll down to find the “Disable Keyboard Shortcuts” section. Here, you can turn on the toggle button to disable the usage of keyboard shortcuts on your website. Click the Update button to save the changes.

You can turn off the toggle button anytime, if you wish to give users the opportunity to use different keyboard shortcuts.
