Seamless Free to Paid Membership Upgrades
What is it & why you need it
For memberships with a subscription plan, you have the ability to set up tiers so that your users could upgrade and downgrade between different subscription tiers.
Now, the upgrade and downgrade feature is extending to the free plans. That means your users can now upgrade from free membership plan to top tier subscription plans. And also, downgrade to the free plan from top tier subscription plans, if they want.
This simply helps to retain users because you are offering free content and also opens the door to sell subscription memberships even when the user purchases a free plan.
How to get started using it
Firstly, you can go on to create a free pricing plan. To do that, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and go to Products & Services -> Membership.
Create a new membership plan if you want and then set the free pricing plan.
You can choose the one-time or a subscription plan and set the price as Zero to make a plan free.
[Note: If you have one-time plan with a price set then even those will be counted as free plan for this feature.]
Add contents to the plan and then you can go on to add it in a group.
Now, you can show the plans on your website. And whichever plan (from the group) a user purchases, they will see the option to upgrade or downgrade from and to the Free plan.
