Automatic Student Suspension

What is it & why you need it

From email verification to student login limitation, EzyCourse gives you many features to ensure security and protection of your content from unauthorized access.

Now, you can add another extra layer of security and prevent users from sharing their account with others. With this feature, you can suspend an user automatically for trying to log in more than the preset limit.

This will help to stop the abuse of account sharing among multiple users who don’t pay for their own accounts.

How it works

You already had the option to limit the number of times a student can log in at the same time. Now, you can choose whether to suspend a user based on the limitation. Students who attempt to log in more than the allowed limit will have their accounts automatically suspended.

Upon suspension, the admin and the suspended user will be notified respectively through an email. You as the admin can re-activate the account of the student from your dashboard.

It will work even if the user uses the same device to login more than the limited number. For example, you’ve set the limit to 1. If the user logs in from the browser and then also logs in on the same device using incognito mode or another browser, then the suspension will take into effect.

[Note: It is important to note that the student login limit feature or auto suspension is dependent on sessions, and not on devices.]

How to get started using it

Log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and navigate to Site Settings -> General Settings

Now, go to the Auth settings tab where you can set the student login limit.

Once the login limit is set, you can choose whether to suspend the account of the students who attempt to log in more than the limit. Simply enable the toggle button on the Account Suspension section.

To recover or re-activate any suspended account, go to Users -> Students. Select Suspended from the relevant filter and all the suspended accounts will appear.

Click the three dots on the suspended student and select the Reactivate Suspended Account option.
