Invoice Settings: Marketplace Mode, Custom Fields, & More
Order invoices are automatically generated and become available on your admin dashboard. Your customers also receive a copy on their dashboard and through email. As for marketplace sellers, the invoices would be the same as your school. But now, you can choose whether to use your school invoice or let sellers include their own invoice.
Apart from this, you can add more info on your invoice such as business name, phone number, etc. And even add up to four custom fields, if needed. Furthermore, there are more language translation texts added so that you can easily utilize the multi-language feature.
Marketplace Mode
This lets you choose whether to use your business invoice for marketplace sellers, or allow sellers to set their own separate invoices. To change this setting, navigate to Site Settings -> General Settings -> Invoice Settings.

Here’s what each option mean:
1. School
Marketplace sellers have their separate dashboard where they can create and manage courses, and other products. Since invoice is generated automatically for every order, their invoice would have the same settings as your school invoice i.e. your business name, address, custom fields, etc.
So, even though a customer is purchasing a product primarily owned by a seller on your marketplace, they still get your school specific invoices.
When you choose this option, sellers cannot choose anything with regards to the invoicing. They will see a message on their dashboard telling them that the School handles invoicing.

2. Seller
Selecting this option will let the seller use most invoice options you see on your admin dashboard. That includes language translation, business name, email, phone, custom fields, etc.
Sellers can customize their invoice from the Settings -> Invoice Settings menu on their dashboard.

When seller mode is turned on:
• Orders from the marketplace generate seller-specific invoices.
• Invoice button remains deactivated on customer-end until the seller first configures the invoice information.
• Invoice number, attachment, and currency format are all hidden from the seller and these settings will apply from admin end.
Add More Information
Business name, phone number, and email are three newly added fields. You can fill and show them on the order invoices. Moreover, you can select the date format using a dropdown. These fields are available to the marketplace sellers also, if seller mode is on.

Furthermore, you can add up to four custom fields. To add a field, first click the Add Field button.

Fill the label and the corresponding value fields. Add more fields, if needed. And click the Save button to keep the changes.

Language Translations (New Texts)
You will find newly added translation texts to make your invoice ideal for different languages. These texts include, but are not limited to:
• Digital Product, Physical Product, Course, Bundled Course, etc.
• Invoice Number and Date Of Issue.
• Bill to company, Company Name, Company Registration Number
• Upsell, Blog, Coin Packages, and more.
By the way, you can set the language translations from the same Invoice Settings tab. Just select the language and set translations for each text.
