EzyCourse Student Profiles

What is it & why you need it

You can now make your students feel more seen and recognized with their own Student Profile. This new addition can improve their overall satisfaction as students will have an opportunity to see each others’ badges and certificates.

You can also use Student Profile to view the courses a student is part of, allowing you to recommend related courses they might be interested in. This will help you to better match their interests and learning path. Moreover, students can connect with other students having similar interests and create a useful network.

Ultimately, the Student Profile will motivate your students and help you to foster a more interactive and connected learning environment.

How it works

You will have access to enable the student profile option and control which tabs are shown on the student profile page. From your EzyCourse dashboard, you can choose to show:

Enrolled Courses

Enrolled Communities

Enrolled Group Chats

Certificates Achieved

Earned Badges

With settings enabled, you will be able to view the student profile from different places inside communities and chats. In communities, you could click the name from a student’s post or could go from the community members list on the right side. For the latter, you have to enable the members list option. It will also be possible to visit a student’s profile from comments and replies inside a community post.

Students will also have the luxury of viewing each others’ profile.

How to get started using it

To enable student profile settings, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard and navigate to Site Settings -> Global Settings

From there, click the Update button on the “Student Profile Settings” option.

On the popup, turn on the toggle button and enable the student profile.

[Note: By default, the student profile will be enabled with the “Enrolled Courses” tab only.]

And then choose the tabs you want to show on the student profile page. You can also use the drag handle icon to move and sort your tabs. Click the Save Settings button to keep the changes.

Now, you and your students can access any student profile from inside the community. You can either click on the student name on a community post or click the name from the members list to view a student’s profile. In addition, you can also access the profile of a student from a post’s comments inside a community.

If you’ve enabled Members tab from community tab settings, then you can also visit a student's profile from there.

Viewing a student’s profile from chats is also possible. Simply click the image icon of the student to see the profile page.

When you visit a student’s profile page, you’ll see the tabs which you’ve enabled from your dashboard.

Students can set their profile image, cover image, and even add a description about themselves from their student dashboard.

They can also add their social media account links and add their own website or portfolio.

Apart from enrolled courses, communities, and group chats, the student profile page will also show the certificates achieved by the student through any course completion.

Notice that the last three badges earned by the student will be showcased on the top right corner of the page. To view all badges, click the Earned Badges tab.

To share a student’s profile, click the Share button and copy the page link.
