Appointment Booking Window
When creating or editing an appointment, you can control how far into the future your customers can book appointments.
Previously, you had only one option and it would make appointment booking available indefinitely into the future. Now, you can choose from three booking window options:
• Specific days into the future
• Within a date range
• Indefinitely into the future
Specific days into the future
Use this option when you want appointments to be bookable for a specific number of days ahead of the current date.
You can choose between:
Weekdays — Counts only Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded.
Calendar days — Counts every day, including Saturdays and Sundays.
The booking window automatically moves forward as the current date changes. You don't need to manually update the end date.
Example:
Suppose you set the booking window to 5 days using Calendar days.
• On September 21, customers can book appointments on available days through September 26.
• On September 22, they can book on available days through September 27.
• On September 23, they can book on available days through September 28.
The booking window continues to update automatically.
If you select Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays are not counted when calculating the available booking period.
Within a date range
Use this option when you want to accept bookings only during a specific period.
Set a fixed:
• Start date
• End date
Customers can book appointments only within the selected date range.
For example, if you set the date range from October 1 to October 14, customers can book appointments on available dates within that period. The booking window is fixed and does not move.
Indefinitely into the future
Use this option when you don't want to set a limit on how far ahead customers can book. Customers can book appointments for any future date that has available appointment slots.
This was the existing appointment booking behavior before the introduction of the other booking window options.
