What is it & why you need it


With over 12 different lesson types, EzyCourse offers you the opportunity to add an enriched and an extremely versatile course contents.


Now, you can use our Math Editor which will allow you to create rich and detailed mathematical content directly within your course material, enhancing the overall quality of your courses. The editor will help to include precise mathematical expressions, with a wide range of symbols, formulas, and operators.


The Math Editor can be used in various parts of the platform. Instead of relying on external tools to create math expressions, you can now do it directly within the platform, saving time and effort.



How it works


Our Math Editor comes with a variety of symbols, functions, and operators that ensure that you can accurately represent any mathematical concept or problem, tailored to your specific course needs.


You can add math expressions in all the course lessons including quizzes and assignments. It is important to note that in every rich text editor on your dashboard, you will find the Math Editor option represented by the “fx” symbol. But, it will only work on the course lessons.


Click the “fx” symbol will open the math editor modal where you can find different tabs such as formula, arrows, symbols, operators, functions, etc. You can easily add any math expression and make use of this tool.



How to get started using it


You can use the Math Editor from the rich text editor when creating or editing any course lessons, on the lesson description.


On the rich text editor, you will see the “fx” symbol. Click it to access the math editor.





There’s different categories so that you can easily access different types of math symbols and expressions. You will find symbols related to matrix, integrals, differentiations, limits, logarithms, trigonometry functions, and much more.





When you add a math expression, you will see the code and the actual view. You can edit the code to enter relative numbers and whatnot. For example, you can use the ab symbol to add an exponential expression.





Then edit the code and change “a” and “b” to add numbers tailored to your specific needs.





When you add a math expression, you can click on the expression to see the code and even make changes on the lesson description or wherever you are adding.





Here’s a look at how your students will see the math expressions on the course lesson view. You can add math expressions on any lesson types including free text, quizzes, assignments, etc.





In the math editor, you can use various shortcuts to add different expressions. Here are two shortcuts you can use on the math editor:


To add superscripts, use the “^” symbol. 

To add subscripts, use the “_” symbol.
