Habit Tracking in Coaching Programs
What is it and why you need it
The Habit System inside the EzyCourse coaching program lets you assign daily or weekly habits to your clients—like exercising, meditating, or reading. Using various tracker types (number, question, select one, or duration), clients log their progress on each present day, building consistency over time. You control when habits start, end, and how often they appear.
Changing behavior is a key part of coaching, and that’s exactly what this feature is for. Habit system helps your clients build small, positive routines that support their goals. It keeps them accountable, gives you real-time visibility into their effort, and ensures progress between sessions.
How it works
This feature allows you to guide your clients through consistent routines that lead to lasting change. You can set up custom habits, track daily or weekly progress, and directly keep your clients engaged and accountable in your coaching program.
On each coaching program feed, you and your clients can see a new tab labeled “Habits”. There’s a calendar-based view where all active daily/weekly habits appear. Moreover, you can check all the habit details, monitor client habit submissions, and track progress—all in one place.
[Note: Habit trackers are independent and not linked to your program's set weekdays. Although it follows the program start/end date.]
Here’s a full flow of how the feature will work:
• Add a Title & Description (Optional): Start by giving your habit a clear name and short description. This helps your clients understand the purpose behind it.
• Select Tracker: Depending on the habit, you can pick from pre-defined ones:
• Set the Repeat Type: For daily, the habit shows up every day. And for weekly, you choose specific weekdays (like Mon, Wed, Fri) for when the habit should appear.
• Define Start & End Dates (Optional): You can select the habit’s start and end dates. If you skip this, it will follow your coaching program’s overall start and end dates.
Clients can only fill in the tracker on the current date—not before or after. The same goes for updating the tracker. As a result, this ensures real-time accountability.
How to get started using it
To begin, navigate to Coaching -> Coaching Programs -> click the three dots option on any program and then select the Edit button.

Next, enable the Habit Tab toggler to show the tab in the coaching program feed. Once you’re done, click the Update button.

Now, click the Visit button on any coaching program.

Move to the Habits tab. On the left side of the screen, you can see a habit calendar, habit details section, and Habits Submission Charts.

On the top right side of the screen, you can find the Add Habit button. Click on it to create a habit for the program.

On the popup, enter the habit Title, Description, and Add Tracker from the previously created one.

Select the tracker repeat type. For daily, the habit shows up every day. And for weekly, you choose specific weekdays for when the habit should appear.

Set start date and end date. Once you’re done, click the Add button.
[Note: If no date is selected, the program's start and end date will be applied. And for session-based programs, end date is not limited.]

On the calendar, you can see that the week-based habits are marked as highlighted.

You can also Delete any habit from the program feed.

From the student dashboard, select the Coaching Programs tab and then click the View Program option.

Move to the Habits tab and here they can find all the habits created for their coaching program. Selecting the past and future dates on the calendar won’t permit you to fill in the tracker.

Select the present date on the calendar, fill in the tracker and then click the Submit Tracker button.

After submitting the tracker, they can view the Habit Submission Charts with in-depth details.

They can also Update the tracker from here.

From the admin end, you can view the habit submission charts of each client.

And if you want, you can add multiple habits for your programs using different trackers, let it be a daily repeat type or weekly repeat type habit.
