Introducing the EzyCourse App Builder — a new way for school owners and admins to personalize the look, layout, and experience of their school's mobile app without coding or developer assistance.

With the App Builder, you can make changes and publish them instantly. Your students will see the updates the next time they open the app. No app updates or store approvals required.

Note: If your branded app is already published on the App Store or Google Play, you'll need a one-time app update before you can use the App Builder. This update is required because the app includes significant changes to support the new App Builder experience. To request the update, simply message your dedicated WhatsApp support group, and our team will take care of the entire update process for you.

New branded app purchases already include App Builder support. After your app is published on the App Store and Google Play, you can start using the App Builder immediately. No additional update is needed.

To use the App Builder, log in to your EzyCourse dashboard → select the App Builder menu → select your operating system (macOS, Windows, Linux) below to download the installer.

Once you’ve downloaded the installer, log in to the App Builder with your school domain/URL, email, and password.

Builder Layout

The builder has three main sections:

i) Left section: Access all the main menus from this section. Select one to start editing that menu. Menus include Theme, Home Layout, Features, Social Proof, etc.

ii) Right section: Selecting any menu from the left-section will open its editing panel on the right section. For example, clicking on Theme menu will let you choose primary color, button color, theme mode, etc. from the right section.

iii) Middle section: A live preview of your app screen as you customize and make changes.

Let’s see in detail how you can customize your app using the new builder.

Customize Your App's Theme

Create an app experience that matches your brand. With the Theme settings, you can personalize your app's colors and appearance so your school gets recognized instantly.

You can now:

• Set your app's primary brand color

• Choose a separate button color

• Set primary dark mode color

• Select Light Mode, Dark Mode, or Auto mode i.e. adjusts according to the device theme

• Lock the app to a specific appearance

Design Your Home Screen Layout

Your app's home screen should reflect what matters most to your students. You can now decide exactly what students see on the home screen. Organize sections and highlight your most important features.

• Show or hide sections

• Rearrange sections with drag-and-drop

• Customize the order of: Store, Courses, Community, Coaching, Blogs, Libraries, and more.

Customize Bottom Navigation

The bottom navigation is how students move around your app every day. Customize it to make your most important features easier to find and reduce unnecessary distractions.

• Reorder navigation tabs

• Show or hide tabs

• Choose which tab students land on by default when they open the app

Customize Quick Access

Quick Access lets you control the shortcuts students can access directly from the app's Home screen. You can choose which shortcuts are visible and arrange them in the order that works best for your students.

• Show or hide shortcuts

• Lock Quick Access layout to prevent students from customizing it

Control Feature Visibility

Choose which features are available inside your mobile app. Turn features on or off to keep your app simple, relevant, and tailored to your students' needs.

You can enable or disable:

• Courses

• Video & Audio Libraries

• Community

• Chats & Groups

• Announcements

• Certificates

• Products

• Store

• Quick-access shortcuts

When a feature is turned off, it disappears throughout the app automatically, ensuring students never see empty sections or broken links.

Customize the Profile Menu

The Profile screen should give students quick access to the things they actually use. Organize menu items, remove unnecessary options, and create an experience that’s easier to navigate.

• Show or hide profile items

• Rearrange menu items

• Keep the experience clean

Profile menu items you can edit include Edit Profile, Change Email and Password, Certificates, Downloads, Watch Later, and more.

Add a Welcome Banner

The Welcome Banner lets you communicate with students the moment they open the app. Use it to greet new members, announce important updates, promote events, or direct students to helpful resources. You can add:

• A custom title

• A message with text and emojis

• An optional button

• A custom link for the button

Add Your Own Links

Create a dedicated Links section in the Profile screen and direct students to your website, support pages, social media, or any other important resources.

For each link, you can add:

• Label

• Optional description

• Icon

• Destination URL

Display Social Proof

Showing enrollments and member counts can make your courses and communities feel more active, engaging, and valuable to new students. At the same time, hiding low counts can help you avoid negative first impressions while your school is still growing.

Choose whether to display:

• Course enrollment counts

• Community member counts

• Coaching program member counts

• Chat group member counts

• Gamification points badge

Live Preview, Instant Publishing, & Reset

The App Builder includes a live mobile preview that updates instantly whenever you modify settings, so you always know exactly what your students will see.

Once you're happy with your changes, simply click the Publish button on the top right corner of the screen, and your updates go live immediately. No coding. No app update. No waiting.

To go back to the default setting for any individual menu, click the reset icon on the right-side panel.

You can also reset to the base or default setting for the whole app. It’s always just a couple of clicks away.
