Embed Custom Page Lesson
What is it and why you need it
You can now embed a fully built custom page inside your course lesson.
Previously, Embed Lessons only allowed iFrame and HTML embeds. This was pretty much useful but not ideal for embedding a completely designed, visually rich lesson unless you coded everything yourself.
This new feature changes the scenario on a whole new level.
You can build a beautifully structured page with drag-and-drop elements — videos, images, layouts, buttons, forms, steps, sections, or pre-built templates and embed that as an entire lesson.
This unlocks richer teaching experiences, such as:
Visual storytelling lessons
Custom-designed tutorials
Onboarding lessons with steps, links, and videos
Sales or upsell lessons inside the course
Case study or portfolio-style lessons
Weekly templates for coaching and mentorship programs
How it works
At first, you need to create a custom page lesson using the website builder. Thereafter, the custom page lesson becomes an option inside the Embed Lesson editor.
When you select the custom page, the entire design loads as the lesson content. Students can view and scroll the custom page directly inside their lesson player.
How to get started using it
Getting started is simple: navigate to the Website Builder -> Pages -> and click the Create Page button.
Fill up the page name, sub path (optional), and other details.
Now select the page type as Lesson. This will make the page available for selection inside any embed lesson. The page privacy type will be ‘Everyone’ by default. Once done, click the Create button.
[Note: Password protected privacy option is still a work in progress to be integrated.]
You can either use a pre-built template or create your own design from scratch, allowing you to fully customize and personalize the lesson page.
Please ensure that you have published the custom page lesson. Otherwise, it won’t appear in the page selection.
To add the custom page lesson, go to Courses -> All courses -> and create a new course or edit an existing one.
Select any chapter -> create a new lesson and click the Embedded lesson card.
Enter the lesson name and select the Internal Page option as the Embed Type. This will display a dropdown where you can select the custom lesson page you’ve created using the website builder.
As usual, you can configure other lesson settings from here. Once done, create the lesson. And that’s it. The entire lesson will now be shown as a richly designed custom page.
To see the lesson from the admin end, click the Course Preview button on the top right corner of your screen.
From the student end, they can navigate to the embed lesson to view the custom lesson page.
